It seems the revised Hand was a hit!
It’s also proof of the value of collaborative work, of getting input. The Hand that informed the changes to my Hand came from K, who is Katie, who is Katie Robleski.
I don’t know all of you, but I know many of you and I wish you knew each other, because this is a fabulous group. For example, Katie.
Katie and her husband Chris are artists. FlashNites is the name of their company. They do night photography with zero photoshop. Here’s one of my favorite FlashNites photos:

(Note the blue light streaming onto the grass.)
Thinking of Katie going into decrepit places to set up the colored lights frightens me, but she likes it. She also designed and built their website. Katie is one example of the kind of person we have here. You are all splendid in your own unique way, including those of you I’ve never met, because we are no less than the trees and the stars.
Back to the Hand.
It’s one thing to create your Hand. It’s another to use it in your daily life. In case it’s helpful, here’s how I make the most of my hand.
One. If I’ve drawn the Hand on a piece of paper, I transfer it to a notebook. Then, I leave the notebook open to that page next to my placemat where I eat all my meals. Seeing is remembering.
If you’re a more digital person, you might turn it into your wallpaper on your phone or laptop.
Two. I’ve assigned each of the five digits of the Hand to a day of the week. Since there are five digits and seven days, one or two days need to be repeated.

The purpose is not to do that digit only on that day of the week. It’s to provide focus. If I have a spare two hours on a Saturday, I might clean out my car or caulk what needs caulking. If it’s Sunday, I might head outside and take some photos.
Three. I also assign parts of the compass to the days of the week. This is mainly to remind myself that I’m not a head on a stick.

As I mentioned last week, my laptop files are also organized according to my Hand. I like the consistency. It makes me feel calmer, less scattered when I know the logic of where something should be.

I’d say that’s 20% of what prepares me to make the best use of my hand. The other 80% comes from what I do on Friday and Sunday.
More to come. ♥️
