There were two top vote-getters in our survey of possible topics for this blog. “Finding our true selves” was one of them and is where we’re going next.
I used to believe that we have One True Self that we must find in order to live our best life.
I used to believe that if I could just figure out who my true self was, and live in alignment with that true self, then I would live happily ever after.
I don’t believe that anymore.
Here’s what I believe now: We all have a core of who we are and there are many ways to express that core. We have multiple possibilities for how to live our best life.
Next week we’ll start exploring ways we can learn more about our marvelous self. In the meantime, I invite you to consider for yourself two possibilities:
- I am a multilayered, complex, intriguing, unique individual, and there are multiple ways I can choose to express my gifts in this life.
- I already know a lot about who I am at my core, maybe more than I am allowing myself to see and honor.
Update on the Something
Last Friday I went to Findlay Market to pack the Somethings with the maker of the Somethings. They are on their way! If you said you wanted a Something, you should have it by Groundhog Day!
Chewing the Cud of Good
The volunteer was kind when I brought back Oliver, who I didn’t want to be allergic to, but was.
Oliver will be a perfect fit in someone else’s life. You opened your heart and tried. We all need to do that.
Thank you, Chris. He was so sweet and I wanted to keep him so badly but I knew it wasn’t the best for either of us.
